Fan Coil
Fan Coil is basically a radiator with a fan, which is suitable not only for heating but also for cooling purposes.
The design of a fan coil is simple. Water or a water-glycol mixture is lead into a water-air heat exchanger, and a fan blows the room air through it. Depending on whether the heat exchanger has hot or cold water, the fan coil can cool or heat the air. Cold or hot water is provided by the heat center, where the chiller, boiler or heat pump is located.
The Fan coil is available in 2 and 4 pipe versions. The 2-tube fan coil has 1 heat exchanger, while the 4-tube unit has 2 heat exchangers. Cold or hot water can be lead into the heat exchanger with the 2-pipe system. The 4-pipe Fan Coil has a separate heat exchanger for cold and hot water. If several Fan Coil units are installed in a apartment, office, hotel, then with 2-pipe units, we can only heat or cool everywhere at the same time. When installing a 4-pipe system, you can decide in each room whether to heat or cool. When it comes to installing, the 2-pipe system is significantly more cost-effective, but compromises need to be made. Installing the 4-pipe Fan Coil system will make our wallet lighter, but it will perfectly meet our needs in terms of comfort. The system automatically cools or heats by applying the appropriate control thermostat.
Fan Coil units are available with AC or energy saving EC fan motors with fan speed control. The motors are generally very quiet so as not to disturb our peace of mind or work. You can also reduce the noise level by selecting a lower operating level.
Industrial Fan Coil units are manufactured with enhanced fans to achieve higher cooling or heating power (eg 30-40kW / unit).
