Air cooled chiller with free cooling
According to the principle of operation, we distinguish between standard and free-cooled liquid coolers. Free cooling chillers are used in areas of technology where cooling is required for 365 days a year and 24 hours a year. These applications can be used to cool the liquid with cool outdoor air during the winter and in the transitional seasons (spring, autumn). Generally 80-90% of the power consumption of any air conditioner is provided by the compressor. When the unit cools with outdoor air, the compressor can be switched off, resulting in significant energy savings during these periods.
